About the course:
Parents play a vital role in a child's upbringing and are naturally best positioned to be the primary mentor in their formative years (3-6). Whether they are prepared for it or not, they have a large responsibility in shaping the child’s personality and cultivating their development.
This is because children behave, react, and imitate their parents, and can develop skillsets and behaviours (positive or negative) based on the environment their parents foster for them.
We often think that the time for learning is when the kids are at pre-school, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Children need to be inspired and engaged with by their parents just as much as, if not more than, their teachers.
Creating an environment at home that encourages and motivates kids to learn and explore doesn't happen on its own, and requires active parenting and communication.
But it doesn't have to be all hard work. There are numerous tactful activities that you can engage your child to promote healthy development at home. This course will equip you with the fundamentals you need to engage your little ones while they learn through play.
Who should attend?

During the ages of 3-6, language literally explodes and children begin to form their opinions, create their communication style, and begin to interact with a wider range of people. During this module, we will delve into the details of:
During the ages of 3-6 years, children develop a wide range of fine motor actions that help with both activities of daily living, pre-writing, and writing skills.
Developing early literacy skills makes it easier for children to read, write, and understand numerical concepts. Reading, writing, and facility with numbers are key in enabling the kind of early learning experiences that research shows are linked with academic achievement and an enhanced love of learning. In this module, we take a look at:
Learning about play development in young children is vital to understanding how to engage them and enter their world.
